Staff Development Day on Friday, November 24th 2017

Dear Parents/Carers,

As part of Harborne Academy’s focus on delivering excellence in Teaching and Learning and raising standards in all areas, the Academy will be holding a staff development day on Friday, November 24th, 2017 and it will be closed for all students but Year 11.

We have arranged an exceptional study skills day for our Year 11 students that will be delivered by the external company called Learning Performance. They will show students how to maximise their learning, improve their revision techniques, and how best to prepare for exams using the power of creativity and imagination. It is imperative students attend this invaluable day in order for them to gain skills and knowledge, which will help them to achieve the highest grades possible in their GCSE exams.

The company Learning Performance delivered the session to the Year 11 cohort last year and the students said it was one of the best sessions the academy had provided them to achieve the best grades in the exams.

Students in Years 7 to 10 and Sixth Form are advised to use this day to further their studies from home.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your time and continued support.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs J Elbaz

Head Teacher
