Salary: Grade 2 - Points 3 - 8 (FTE: £25,614.27 – £27,709.19)
Actual Salary: £11,980.55 - £12,960.40
Working time: Fixed Term - Term Time Only
Hours: Part Time (19.5 hours per week)

If you have an interest in science and want to support young people in their learning, then this could be the job for you. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and adaptable, committed to helping students by developing, preparing and maintaining facilities, equipment and materials, with an understanding of how to motivate students to learn.
You will provide practical and technical support to teachers delivering the Science curriculum, preparing and maintaining resources to enable safe and engaging practical activities to be undertaken by staff and students. You will provide advice and guidance, including ensuring that COSHH regulations are adhered to at all times.â¯
This is an ideal role for someone with a science background who is looking for a rewarding job where every day is different. This role would give you practical experience working with both students and teachers in a close-knit and friendly department.

Community Hosts (Lettings)
Lettings and Events Assistant
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Working time: Zero-hour contract
All year round
Start date: October 2026
Are you friendly, practical and confident working with people? We’re looking for Lettings and Events Assistants to support our academy’s lettings programme and help ensure local groups, clubs and organisations have a positive and memorable experience when using our facilities.
As a Letting and Events Assistant, you’ll be the welcoming face of our academy during evenings, weekends and school holiday lettings. You’ll help hirers set up spaces and equipment, ensure the site is secure, complete routine health and safety checks and carry out light cleaning so that our facilities are always left ready for the next school day.
Every shift is different — you might be supporting a sports club one evening and a community event the next — but what stays the same is the quality of service you provide
We’re seeking people who are:
- Friendly, customer-focused and confident communicating with a variety of users
- Practical and hands-on, comfortable setting up equipment and following procedures
- Reliable, responsible and able to work independently
- Keen to help maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment
Previous experience in customer service, leisure, hospitality or a school setting is helpful, but not essential — full training is provided.
