We aim to respond to phone calls and emails as quickly as possible, and certainly within 48 hours. Please bear in mind that members of staff may have a day of teaching and may not be able to respond to non-urgent matters until the end of the Academy day or the following Academy day.

KS3 Physical Education

As part of our ethos for a healthy active lifestyle, Harborne Academy students will be expected to participate in 2 hours of PE each week. As a department we feel that this helps promote a life-long love of sport, health and well-being which students can take with them on their journey through school and beyond.

All students in Years 7, 8 and 9 will participate in the following activities:

KS4 Physical Education

During Years 10 and 11, students will follow a core PE course which will help develop previously learnt skills in KS3 and apply them to more recreational, game situations. The PE department now also offer Sports Leaders as an option during core PE. This involves developing leadership skills and applying them in a form of coaching and assisting on Sports Day.

At Harborne Academy we also offer students the opportunity to explore Sport as a possible career through OCR Sports Studies which students can choose to study in key stage 4
